Teaching

Education at the University is provided within two faculties and 6 study prorammes:

Faculty of Physical Education and Sport

Faculty of Physiotherapy

• Physiotherapy
• Occupational Therapy
• Cosmetology

Didactic classes take place in classrooms and specialised labs, while sports classes – in the sports facilities of our University. Practical classes and workshops concerning health, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, occupational therapy, and cosmetology are held in modern labs and studios.

Sports classes take place: – on the pitches of the Mars Fields Complex – in the Multifunctional Hall – at the indoor swimming pool – at the athletic stadium – on tennis courts – in gymnastics and acrobatics hall

Study plans and organisation of teaching

Before the start of each semester of the academic year, study plans and timetables are published on the University’s website. Classes are held in the form of lectures, exercises, seminars, laboratories or consultations. Some classes may be conducted remotely using distance learning techniques, methods and tools, i.e. e-learning.

E-learning at AWF is implemented through:

• MOODLE platform,
• ZOOM video-conferencing system Cisco Webex Meeting

IT systems for the management of the teaching process

In order to manage the teaching process and improve the functioning of the University, members of the teaching staff have access to the IT infrastructure supporting the learning and teaching process:

Dean’s offices – administrative support for academic teachers

The dean’s offices provide services to students and academic staff in the scope of documentation and course of studies, teaching activities in the individual fields, the awarding of grades, programmes of study, etc.
